Journal History

Journal of Applied Food Technology (JAFT) was first published in 2014 and is issued biannually, with regular publications in June and December. In its early years, JAFT was published independently and accessible via http://appliedfoodtechnology.org.

As part of its continuous development and quality enhancement, JAFT was later integrated into the official journal ecosystem of Diponegoro University. Since 2018, the journal has been officially hosted on the university’s e-journal platform and is accessible at https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/jaft, strengthening its governance, visibility, and adherence to international publishing standards. 

Since the journal has migrated to the recent URL, the style of references has also changed to the following URL: https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/jaft/about/submissions#authorGuidelines 

The scope has expanded and starting from October 2019, JAFT has compressed the scope into 4 fields, and editor has started to accept the article about Ethnic and Traditional Food
