Abstract
Seribu Ranting coastal waters are located in Kedung District, Jepara Regency, Central Java. Around this beach, there are houses for residents, rides as fishing spots, and attractive destinations for tourists. Activities in the upstream and inland areas have contributed to sediment input, which has caused siltation in Seribu Ranting Beach. This study aimed to determine the distribution of sediment particle sizes at Seribu Ranting Beach. The method of determining the extent of sediment particles is based on sieving and pipetting. This research was conducted at 18 stations in February 2022. The results found that the type of sand sediment dominates. Other types of sediment found were silt, silt mud, and silty sand. The sediment distribution is influenced by longshore currents, which are tidal currents. The results of the analysis of the Admiralty method show that the tidal type is a mixed tidal type with a double daily tendency.
