Indonesian Journal of Oceanography (IJOCE) encourages submission of manuscripts dealing with all research papers and review on all aspects of oceanography, coastal management, marine science, marine biology, marine conservation, marine ecology, marine microbiology, marine culture, marine geology, air and ocean dynamics, estuary, renewable energy, disaster mitigation, ocean technology, ocean and coastal resources, ocean satellite, ocean remote sensing, other ocean topics.
Blind reviewing will be applied and at least two reviewers will be assigned for each submitted paper. Author(s) are allowed to propose appropriate reviewers by providing their names and email addresses, but the decision remains in the hand of editor. Authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to check similarity of the manuscript. This similarity checking and screening is conducted using Turnitin. Decision will be made based on the level of similarities with other articles. The editor will decide on either immediately reject the manuscripts, contact authors for further clarifications, or to proceed to the peer-review process. Final decision is made by editor and editorial board.
The Indonesian Journal of Oceanography (IJOCE) is published four times a year in February, May, August and November.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options, currently being defined for this journal as follows: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA)

What is Crossmark?
CrossMark, a multi-publisher initiative from CrossRef, provides a standard way for readers to locate the authoritative version of a document. Indonesian Journal of Oceanography recognizes the importance of the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record to researchers and librarians and attaches the highest importance to maintaining trust in the authority of its electronic archive. Clicking on the CrossMark icon will inform the reader of the current status of a document and may also provide additional publication record information about the document.

The editor will evaluate manuscripts without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. The decision will be based on the paper’s importance, originality and clarity, and the study’s validity and its relevance to the journal's scope. Current legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism should also be considered.ConfidentialityThe editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submit ted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.Disclosure and conflicts of interestUnpublished materials disclosed in a submitted paper will not be used. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.Plagiarism and acknowledgement of sourcesAuthors will appropriately cite or quote the work and/or words of others. Publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work should also be cited.Multiple, redundant or concurrent publicationIn general, papers describing essentially the same research should not be published in more than one journal. Submitting the same paper to more than one journal constitutes unethical publishingbehavior and is unacceptable.Manuscripts which have been published as copyrighted material elsewhere cannot be submitted. In addition, manuscripts under review by the journal should not be resubmitted to copyrighted publications. However, by submitting a manuscript, the author(s) retain the rights to the published material. In case of publication they permit the use of their work under a CC-BY license [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/], which allows others to copy, distribute and transmit the work as well as to adapt the work and to make commercial use of it.Authorship of the paper Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author ensures that all contributing co-authors and no uninvolved persons are included in the author list. The corresponding author will also verify that all co-authors have approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.Disclosure and conflicts of interestAll authors should include a statement disclosing any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All articles in this publication are original: the content (either in full or in part) in each article has not been knowingly republished without specific citation to the original release. After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes the status of manuscript review and editorial process.
All articles published in our journal are open access and freely available online, immediately upon publication. The charge of article processing is FREE.
