Abstract
The implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System has become a primary concern for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including Roti Q-Ta, which operates in the bread industry. This study aims to explore how Roti Q-Ta applies halal product assurance standards through the purchase of raw materials confirmed to be halal and a production process that adheres to halal principles. The crucial initial step in the implementation is ensuring that all raw materials used, such as flour, sugar, butter, and other additives, are halal certified. Furthermore, in the production process, Roti Q-Ta implements strict procedures to avoid cross-contamination with non-halal materials and ensures the use of equipment that is purified according to halal procedures. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System at MSME Roti Q-Ta. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System has provided significant benefits in the form of increased consumer trust, market expansion, and improved product quality. However, challenges such as high implementation costs and a lack of employee knowledge regarding halal principles remain a focus in efforts to optimize this process. Collaboration with relevant parties is recommended as a strategy to overcome these obstacles and strengthen Roti Q-Ta's position in an increasingly competitive market.
