Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

The Indonesian Journal of Halal (IJH) accepts articles in bahasa and English by lifting up several topics of halal studies such as Halal Management, Halal Law, Halal Economic Studies. halal products, services, tourism and Sharia. Other topics can be related to halal products and processes such as; Food Technology, Process Technology, Pharmacy, Cosmetics, Drugs, Slaughtering and Meat as well as matters correlated with halal.

Articles submitted to IJH must be free from plagiarism, both self-plagiarism and others. This is stated by a statement and proof of search using a plagiarism search engine such as turnitin. Similarities are allowed with a maximum limitation of 20%

Peer Review Process

The submitted paper to IJH will be assessed by the reviewer selected by Editorial Board. Paper entered will be firstly reviewed by the Editor in Chief for the feasibility of the language and conformity with the scope of the journal and writing rules. The reviewers are 2 potential people. The criteria for assements are originality, significance and written order.The Editorial Board has right to accept or refuse the proposed text, or request author for making better article.


Publication Frequency

IJH publishes articles every volume of publication minimally publishes 6 articles. Every year 4 publication numbers will be issued. For the first year, it will be published in 2 publishing numbers


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.


Indonesia Journal of Halal

Indonesia Journal of Halal (IJH) is a collection of journals, accomadating researches in the field of  product hallalness, that are never published and considered to be published in other publishing.

The 2-column journal that will be published and submitted to IJH must be following article writing guidelines on this page or using camera ready format in MS word. Here to download

Pengiriman Naskah

The author must submit journal in Bahasa or English in softfile to online submission with:

1. Cover letter

2. Potential Reviewer

3. The journal must be according to the format avalaible on web

Reviewing Processes

The paper that will be submitted to IJH will be reviewed by a reviewer selected by the Editorial Board. The criteria for assessment are originality, significance, grammar, and plagiarism check.  Editorial Board has right to accept or refuse the reviewed paper or request the author for making it better.

It continues to revision.  If the paper is returned to the author, Comments and advises are attached on the revised paper by the reviewer.  Nevertheless, the author can explain about comments and advises.

The name of author must be complete with the name of office where the author works as footnote. If the research was conducted in other researcher places.

The abstract must be written in English or Bahasa, not more than 300 words. This must be containing of brief summary including ( important aspects, conclusion, and research result).

Bibliography is sorted alphabetically without numbering and the distance between one source down to another source is 1 line spasimg (10pt). The writing rule is as follows:

To refer to the reference list is by writing the name of the first author and the year of publication in parentheses, for example (Ohara et al. 1996).

Tables and Pictures must be numbered in sequence according to the order where they are cited. Every picture and table needs to be given a brief description put above for the table and below for the picture. The maximum size of the image must not be 15X20 cm. If there is picture like photo, it must be inserted glossy
