All authors who intend to publish their manuscripts in the Jurnal Profesi Insinyur Indonesia (JPII) must comply with the journal's submission requirements, editorial policies, publication ethics, and manuscript preparation guidelines.
JPII publishes scholarly and professional contributions related to engineering practice, applied research, engineering innovation, industrial problem-solving, project implementation, and other relevant fields within the journal's scope.
JPII provides open access to its published articles, allowing readers to access scholarly content freely for educational, research, and professional purposes, subject to the journal's applicable copyright and licensing terms.
Submission of a manuscript to JPII indicates that the authors have read and agreed to comply with the journal's applicable policies and requirements.
Authors must register for an account through the JPII online journal system before submitting a manuscript. Registration requires a valid email address and accurate personal and institutional information.
During registration, users may select roles such as Author, Reader, or Reviewer, depending on their intended participation in the journal. Users who register as Reviewers may be considered for future peer review assignments, subject to the editor's assessment of their expertise and suitability. Reviewer registration does not guarantee an invitation to review manuscripts.

Authors should consult the template before preparing their manuscripts to ensure consistency in structure, formatting, headings, tables, figures, equations, and references.
Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's basic formatting or submission requirements may be returned to the authors for correction before entering the peer review process.
JPII welcomes the following types of scholarly and professional contributions, subject to the journal's current editorial scope and policies:
Original Research Articles: Reports of original research, engineering investigations, experimental studies, analytical work, or applied technological development.
Review Articles: Critical and systematic or narrative syntheses of relevant literature, engineering developments, methods, or professional practices.
Case Study Articles: Detailed analyses of engineering projects, industrial applications, technical problem-solving, operational improvements, or professional engineering experiences.
Short Communications: Concise reports of significant technical findings, practical innovations, preliminary results, or relevant professional developments, if accepted under the journal's current article categories.
Other Review Formats: Short or comprehensive reviews, where these formats are supported by the journal's editorial policy.
Each submission must demonstrate relevance to JPII's scope and provide a clear contribution to engineering knowledge, practical applications, or professional practice.
The manuscript structure should follow the official JPII template and be appropriate to the type of article submitted. Unless the template specifies otherwise, research articles are generally expected to contain the following elements:
Title: A concise and informative title that accurately reflects the manuscript's content.
Author Information: Full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, and the corresponding author's valid email address.
Abstract: A concise summary of the objectives, methods, principal results, and conclusions.
Keywords: Relevant terms that represent the main subjects of the manuscript and facilitate indexing and retrieval.
Introduction: Background information, the problem addressed, relevant literature, the research or engineering gap, and the objectives of the work.
Methods or Engineering Approach: A clear description of the research methods, technical procedures, engineering design, project implementation, analytical techniques, or case study approach.
Results and Discussion: Presentation and interpretation of the findings, technical performance, engineering implications, and comparison with relevant previous work.
Conclusions: A concise statement of the principal findings and their implications for engineering practice or further research.
Acknowledgments and Funding Information: Recognition of relevant contributions and disclosure of financial support, where applicable.
Conflict of Interest Statement: Disclosure of relevant actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest.
References: Complete and accurate bibliographic information for all cited sources.
The structure may be adapted for review articles, case studies, short communications, and other accepted article types, provided that the manuscript remains clear, coherent, and consistent with the official template.
Authors must prepare manuscripts in clear, accurate, and professional language consistent with the journal's accepted submission languages and current editorial requirements.
Technical terminology, abbreviations, symbols, units, and engineering expressions should be used consistently throughout the manuscript. Abbreviations should be defined at first use, and all figures, tables, and equations should be explained in the main text.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are sufficiently clear and readable for the journal's intended audience of engineers, researchers, academics, and professional practitioners.
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and cited in the manuscript text. Each table and figure must have a clear title or caption and provide sufficient information for readers to understand its contents.
Figures should be legible and of adequate resolution. Authors must ensure that images, diagrams, photographs, and other visual materials are original or used with the necessary permissions and acknowledgments.
Equations should be clearly presented, numbered where appropriate, and accompanied by explanations of relevant symbols and variables.
Engineering quantities and units should be reported consistently, preferably using the International System of Units (SI), unless another convention is justified by the subject matter or applicable technical standards.
Authors must cite all sources that materially support their arguments, methods, data, and conclusions. References should be relevant, accurate, and sufficiently complete to allow readers to identify the original sources.
All in-text citations must correspond to entries in the reference list, and all listed references must be cited in the manuscript, unless otherwise specified by the journal's template.
Authors must follow the citation and reference style prescribed in the official JPII manuscript template. They should verify the accuracy of author names, publication titles, publication years, page numbers, and DOI information where available.
Authors must not include fabricated references, irrelevant citations, or references intended primarily to manipulate citation metrics.
Manuscripts submitted to JPII must be original and must not be under consideration for publication by another journal at the same time.
Authors must properly acknowledge and cite all material derived from the work of others, including text, data, images, tables, methods, and previously published findings.
Plagiarism, inappropriate reuse of previously published material, data fabrication, data falsification, and duplicate or redundant publication are unacceptable.
JPII may use plagiarism detection software or other appropriate screening methods to assess manuscript originality. If the journal applies a similarity threshold, manuscripts must comply with the applicable policy. A similarity score alone does not establish plagiarism; the editorial team must assess the nature, source, and context of the overlap.
If a manuscript substantially develops an earlier conference paper, report, or publication, authors must disclose the relationship and explain the additional contribution of the submitted manuscript. Acceptance of such work is subject to the journal's editorial policies and applicable copyright requirements.
Only individuals who have made substantial intellectual or professional contributions to the work should be listed as authors.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that:

All listed authors have approved the submitted manuscript and agreed to its submission to JPII.
Author names, affiliations, and contact information are accurate.
Contributions and acknowledgments are appropriately identified.
Any proposed changes to authorship are disclosed to and approved by the editor, with the agreement of all affected authors.
Individuals who have contributed to the work but do not meet the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately, with their permission where required.
Authors must ensure that their research and professional activities comply with applicable ethical requirements, legal obligations, institutional regulations, and relevant engineering standards.
Where applicable, manuscripts must identify the relevant research ethics approval, institutional authorization, informed consent, permits, or other permissions required for the work.
Research involving human participants, animals, personal data, confidential information, or potentially hazardous materials and procedures must be reported responsibly. Authors should describe relevant safety precautions, risk controls, and ethical safeguards when these are material to the study.
Authors must not fabricate, falsify, selectively misrepresent, or deliberately conceal information in ways that mislead readers.
Authors should ensure that the data, calculations, technical documentation, and other supporting materials reported in the manuscript are accurate and appropriately maintained.
Where applicable and permissible, authors are encouraged to provide a data availability statement explaining whether supporting data are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, restricted by confidentiality or legal requirements, or not applicable.
Authors may be requested to provide supporting evidence for editorial assessment. Any sharing of research data must respect privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property rights, contractual obligations, and relevant ethical requirements.
Authors must disclose all relevant sources of funding and support for the reported work, including research grants, institutional assistance, industry sponsorship, or other financial contributions.
Authors must also declare actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence the conduct, interpretation, or reporting of the work.
If no relevant conflict of interest exists, authors should provide an appropriate declaration in accordance with the journal's template.
Authors who use artificial intelligence (AI) tools in preparing their manuscripts must comply with JPII's applicable AI policy.
AI tools must not be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, references, data, analysis, and conclusions presented in their submissions.
AI tools must not be used to fabricate or falsify research data, invent references, misrepresent methods or results, or otherwise undermine research integrity. Where disclosure is required by the journal's policy, authors must clearly describe the relevant use of AI.
Authors must also ensure that the use of AI tools respects confidentiality, privacy, intellectual property rights, and applicable research ethics requirements.
All manuscripts are subject to initial editorial screening and, when considered suitable, peer review in accordance with JPII's Review Policy and Review Guidelines.
Each manuscript is reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers appointed by the editor, in accordance with the journal's stated review procedures. The editor may request revisions, additional assessments, or clarification before making a final decision.
Authors must respond to reviewer comments professionally and address the requested revisions clearly. If authors disagree with a reviewer's recommendation, they should provide a reasoned explanation supported by relevant evidence.
Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Final decisions are made by the editor based on the manuscript's quality, originality, relevance, ethical compliance, and the available review reports.
JPII provides open access to its published articles so that readers can access scholarly content without subscription barriers.
Authors must review the journal's current copyright, licensing, and open access terms before submission. They must ensure that they have the rights and permissions necessary to publish any third-party material included in their manuscripts.

Depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue, JPII may publish a correction, an Expression of Concern, or a retraction in accordance with its Retraction and Correction Policy.
Authors are expected to cooperate with legitimate editorial inquiries concerning potential errors or publication ethics issues.

This journal charges the following author fees.
Article Submission: 300000.00 (IDR) Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.
Fast-Track Review: 500000.00 (IDR) With the payment of this fee, the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is guaranteed to take place within 4 weeks.
Article Publication: 0.00 (IDR) This journal has no Article Processing Charges (APC) or publication fees. All accepted papers are published free of charge.
If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
