Abstract
More research into this commodity is necessary due to the demand for premium silica sand for a variety of industrial uses, particularly as a raw material for semiconductors. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of quartz sand as a raw material for semiconductors at the research site. Geochemical analysis is the technique used to determine each sample's composition. According to the examination results, Samples 1 and 3 have impurities over the limit specified for semiconductor materials, although having a high SiO₂ content (above 99%). Sample 2 had the most contaminants and the lowest SiO₂ content (92.17%). SiO₂ and impurities, particularly AlO₃ and TiO₂, had a substantial negative association, according to Pearson correlation analysis. The three silica sand samples are determined to be unsatisfactory in terms of purity.
