Abstract

Radiocesium berada di lingkungan laut berasal dari jatuhan atmosferik (global fallout) akibat dari kecelakaan PLTN di Chernobyl dan Fukushima pada tahun 1986 dan 2011 lalu. Radionuklida 137Cs memiliki sifat konservatif sehingga dapat menyebar hingga ke perairan global. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat aktivitas dan sebaran 137Cs pada air laut dan sedimen, serta mengetahui nilai koefisien distribusi 137Cs. Sampel air dan sedimen dikumpulkan dari perairan Muara Cisadane, Teluk Jakarta. Aktivitas 137Cs diukur menggunakan Spektrometer Gamma HPGe Canberra 3000 di laboratorium Badan Tenaga Nuklir Nasional dengan aktivitas 137Cs pada sampel air yaitu berkisar antara 0.30-1.12 Bq.l-1, dan 137Cs pada sampel sedimen berkisar antara 0.60-1.22 Bq.kg-1. Konsentrasi koefisien distribusi 137Cs yang berkisar antara 0.65-3.40 L.kg-1 dengan rata-rata 1.401 L.kg-1.
