Abstract

Inovasi sosial mengalami peningkatan minat selama beberapa tahun terakhir, khususnya pada bidang perencanaan kota. Dengan kompleksitas persoalan pada banyak perkotaan di Indonesia, seperti kepadatan penduduk dan pesatnya urbanisasi yang dapat membuat terdegradasinya lingkungan dan semakin tingginya risiko terhadap bencana, maka dibutuhkan penanggulangan bencana yang memadai untuk mengurangi risikonya. Banyak studi menunjukkan bahwa paduan antara sains dan kebijakan merupakan kunci keberhasilan dari pengurangan risiko bencana, yakni dengan langkah-langkah yang inovatif. Oleh karena itu, studi ini bertujuan untuk meninjau inovasi sosial yang berkembang di Indonesia untuk pengurangan risiko bencana. Hasil tinjauan menunjukkan sudah terdapat berbagai jenis inovasi sosial dari tingkat nasional hingga lokal yang dapat dikembangkan lebih baik dan dapat menjadi dasar ataupun rekomendasi bagi pemerintah daerah dalam melakukan perencanaan pembangunan kota dan tata ruangnya.
