AUTHOR GUIDELINES

The Journal of Vocational Studies on Applied Research (e-ISSN: 2684-8090; Short Abbreviation Title: J. Vocat. Stud. Appl. Res.) is an international research journal and invites contributions of original and novel fundamental research.

Journal of Vocational Studies on Applied Research is an open access peer reviewed journal published by Vocational College of Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. Journal of Vocational Studies on Applied Research is a journal publishing academic and industrial topics which covers area of interest on applied research as well as vocational studies across the physical and life sciences that help unite the approaches of fundamental research and sustainable problem solving, thus serving a highly interdisciplinary community. Original research and reviews in Materials Science, Applied Chemistry/Biochemistry, Food Science, Applied Physics/Biophysics, Sensors/Biosensors, Engineering, and Vocational Studies are welcomed. The Journal is single-blind reviewed which accepts Original Research Articles and Review Articles.

All papers submitted to this journal must be written in good English. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper be checked before submission for grammar and clarity in a professional English editing services. Authors are recommended to use the professional English Editing Services.

Please be noted that the submitted work should not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. 

1. General Author Guidelines 

All manuscripts must be submitted to JVSAR Editorial Office using Online Submission Service at the following URL address: https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/jvsar/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions), where Author should register first as Author role. If authors have any problems with the online submission, please contact Editorial Office at the following email: jvsar@live.undip.ac.id to ask supporting helps.

The following documents should accompany the manuscripts submitted by online through online submission interface (please upload as Supplementary Files section):

  • Signed Right Transfer Agreement for Publishing (RTAP) form (electronically) [Download the CTAP form here 2025]
  • Covering Letter which outlines clearly the basic novel findings of the paper and its significance.

 

2. Cover Letter and Justification of Publication

A cover letter is required confirming that all authors listed agree to the content and publication of the submitted manuscript and that the manuscript is original and not being considered for publication by another journal. 

A separate paragraph within the Cover Letter, consisting of one to two paragraphs, that justifies publication in the journal is also required. The justification should explain what new discovery, interpretation, understanding, concepts, or catalytic system is advanced in the manuscript, and how the content fits within the scope of the journal. Note that it is essential to describe how the content of the new submission differ significantly from existing literature information and its relevance to catalysis. This section plays an important role in editor's decision of whether or not the manuscript will be sent out to for peer review.

  

3. Manuscript Template

The manuscript should be prepared according to the following author guidelines in the MS Word (doc, docx, pdf) article template format which can be downloaded here: JVSAR MS Word Template 2025 (.docx)

 

4. Reviewing Process of Manuscripts

Every submitted paper is independently reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers. Authors may suggest up to 3 (three) peer-reviewers when submitted the manuscript. The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection as well as assigning peer-reviewers are based upon their reports/recommendations and made solely by Editor.

However, if Editor(s) or Reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors after the submission date after the preevaluation step.

 

5. Revision of Manuscripts

Manuscripts sent back to the authors after revision should be returned to the Editorial Office without delay according to given deadline date.

The revised manuscript document files should be uploaded to the Online Submission Interface (https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/jvsar) in the "Upload Author Version" from Review task window in Author window. 

The revised document files should include three files:

  • One (1) file of "Revision Notes / Response to Reviewers Comments file in a table form" with respect to Reviewers comments including the location of the revision on the revised manuscript.   • One (1) file of "Revised Manuscript file" according to The Template-based format (MS Word file) (please indicate light blue-color texts in the highlighted revised sentences).

7. Guideline for Online Submission

Author should first register as Author Role through the following website: https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/jvsar/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions

The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed with the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in the online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of the journal, i.e. Original Research Articles or Review Article. Thus, the author must check-mark on the submission checklists. An author should type or copy-paste the texts of Covering Letter in Letter to Editor.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript MS Word file to this journal (do not upload as PDF file), click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded sucessfully. NOTE: Do not upload a cover letter and other supplementary files here.
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including the marked corresponding author. NOTE: Author must enter all Authors data here, not only the corresponding author. After that, the manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including: Covering/Submission LetterSupporting Information (SI) file(s) (if any), and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement for Publication Form. Therefore, click on the Browse button, choose the files, and then click on the Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to JVSAR journal, click the Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive a submission acknowledgment email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site. 

After this submission, the Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission automatically. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes a status of manuscript review and editorial process.

 

8. Author Fee/Charge (Article Processing Charge - APC)

Journal of Vocational Studies on Applied Research is a fully open access international journal. Readers can read and download any full-text articles for free of charge (fully Open Access) in order to enhance the readability and citability of articles. There is no Article Processing Charge (APC) Fee for publishing in this JVSAR journal

Journal Author(s) Rights

Authors who publish in the Journal of Vocational Studies on Applied Research (JVSAR) retain full copyright ownership of their work. In keeping with the journal’s commitment to open access, all articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

This license permits anyone to access, use, share, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author or authors, a link to the license is provided, changes to the work (if any) are clearly indicated, and any derivative works are distributed under the same license.

Authors are encouraged to disseminate their work as widely as possible. They retain the right to reuse their published article in future scholarly works, such as books, conference presentations, or teaching materials. They may also deposit the final published version in institutional or subject-based repositories, and share it freely on personal websites, academic platforms, or professional networks. These rights are fully preserved under the CC BY-SA license, and all such uses must comply with its terms.

Open Access License

The Journal of Vocational Studies on Applied Research (JVSAR) provides immediate open access to all published content, based on the principle that making research freely available to the public fosters a broader and more equitable global exchange of knowledge.

All articles are made available in full text, free of charge, immediately upon publication. They may be read, downloaded, shared, and reused without any subscription or access fees. The journal publishes all content under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), which permits use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), a link to the license is included, changes (if any) are clearly indicated, and any derivative works are distributed under the same license terms.

This license allows authors, readers, and third parties to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, as well as to remix, transform, and build upon the content for any lawful purpose. If the material is modified or built upon, users must clearly indicate the changes made and distribute the resulting work under the same Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license.

The publisher ensures that proper attribution is provided for each article, including the name of the author(s), a copyright statement, an open access license notice, and a disclaimer if applicable. 10. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

10.1. General Organization of Paper

The paper will be published in JVSAR journal after the peer-reviewed process and a final decision of "Accepted" article was made by Editor. The final paper layout will be produced by Editorial Office of JVSAR journal. The final paper layout in PDF type, known as “Uncorrected Proof”, should be corrected by Author through the Proof Reading by Authors. This uncorrected article in PDF form will be displayed firstly in Article In Press section. Once the uncorrected proof was corrected properly by Authors, the final version of article will be finalized and prepublished in "In Progress Issue" of respected volume-issue number. 

Manuscript content should, in general, be organized in the following order: Title; Authors Name; Authors Affiliation; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Materials and Methods or Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusions; Acknowledgments; and References. Please include Covering Letter in a separate document file containing your summary of scientific findings and uploaded in Supplementary Files section.

 

10.2. Section Headings

Three levels of heading are allowed as follows:

  • Level 1 (Heading1 format) - 12pt, Times New Roman, Bold, Title Case, left-justified
  • Level 2 (Heading2 format) - 12pt, Times New Roman, Bold, left-justified
  • Level 3 (Heading3 format) - 12pt, Times New Roman, Bold, Italic, left-justified

10.3. Body Text

The body of the text is a set of body text paragraphs defined as follows:

  • 12pt Times New Roman
  • One-half space, defined as 12pt
  • Spacing after the heading is 3pt
  • Spacing before the new heading is 12pt
  • Indentation for the first line is 1 cm.
 
10.4. Bullets

Bullet and numbering within body text are not allowed. All sentences should be typed as a descriptive paragraphs.

 

10.5. Tables

Tables are sequentially numbered with the table title and number above the table. Tables should be centered in the column OR on the page. Tables should be followed by a line space (12pt). Elements of a table should be single-spaced. However, double spacing can be used to show groupings of data or to separate parts within the table. Table headings should be in 10pt not bold. Tables are referred to in the text by the table number, e.g., Table 1. Do not show the vertical line in the table. There is only a horizontal line that should be shown in the table, as well as table heading.

 

10.6. Figures

Figures are sequentially numbered commencing at 1 with the figure title and number below the figure as shown in Figure 1. Detailed recommendations for figures are as follows:

  • Ensure that figures are clear and legible with typed letterings.
  • Black & white or colored figures are allowed.
  • If a figure spans two columns, it should be placed at the top or bottom of a page.
  • Hard copy illustrations should, preferably, be scanned and included in the electronic version of the submission in an appropriate format as follows: 
    • BMP - Microsoft bitmap file
    • WMF - Windows Metafile Format
    • EPS - Encapsulated Postscript
  • If figures cannot be scanned, the original should be placed in its location within the manuscript using wax or colorless glue.
  • The following files are permissible: 
    • Microsoft Graph
    • Microsoft Draw

Figure 1 shows an included Microsoft Draw object.

 

10.7. Equations

Equations should be numbered serially within parentheses as shown in Equation (1). The equation should be prepared using MS Equation Editor (not in image format). The equation number is to be placed on the extreme right side. The explanation of symbols in the Equation must be described as a paragraph not listed format.

 

10.8. Units, Abbreviations, and Symbols

Metric units are preferred and should be consistent throughout body text. Define abbreviations and symbols for the first time as they are introduced in the text.

 

10.9. Manuscript Heading, Font, and Spacing

The manuscript should be typed using word processors (Microsoft Word or Open Office) software. The font used throughout the paper is Times New Roman. The writting paper size is A4 (i.e., 210 x 297 mm), one-column format with a 2.5 cm margin at the top, a 2.5 cm margin at the bottom, 2.5 cm margin on the left, and 2 cm margin on the right. Lines are one-half spaced, justified. Page numbers should be included in the text located in the footer section of each page. 

Manuscript submitted to this journal should follow the heading below, except for the review article: Title; Authors Name; Authors Affiliation; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Materials and Methods or Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusions; Acknowledgments; CRediT Author Statement; and References

 

10.10. Paper Title

This is your opportunity to attract the reader’s attention. Remember that readers are the potential authors who will cite your article. Identify the main issue of the paper within the titleBegin with the subject or highlight the idea of the paper. The title should be accurate, unambiguous, specific, and complete. Do not contain infrequently-used abbreviations.

The title of the paper should be in 14 pt bold Times New Roman and be centered. The title should have 0 pts space above and 12 pts below.

 

10.11. Authors Name and Affiliations

Write Author(s) names without a title and professional positions, such as: Prof, Dr, Production Manager, etc. Do not abbreviate your last/family name. Always give your First and Last names (should be at least 2 (two) words). The Middle Name is optional. Write a clear affiliation of all Authors. Affiliation includes the name of department/unit, (faculty), the name of university, address, country. Please indicate Corresponding Author (include email address) by adding an asterisk (*) in superscript behind the name.

Author names should be in 9 pt Times New Roman bold with 12 pts above and 12 pts below. Author addresses are superscripted by numerals and centered over both columns of manuscripts. Author affiliations should be in 9 pt Times New Roman italic. The body of the text should commence two lines (24 points) below the last address.

Present/permanent address. If an author has moved since the work described in the article was done, or was visiting at the time, a 'Present address' (or 'Permanent address') may be indicated as a footnote to that author's name. The address at which the author did the work must be retained as the main, affiliation address. Superscript Arabic numerals are used for such footnotes.

Authors should consider carefully the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript. The definitive list of authors should be provided at the time of the initial submission. Any addition, deletion or rearrangement of author names in the authorship list should be made only BEFORE the acceptance of the manuscript and only if approved by the journal Editor. To request such a change, the Editor must receive the following from the authors: (a) the reason for the change in author list and (b) written confirmation (e-mail, letter) from all authors that they agree with the addition, removal or rearrangement. In the case of addition or removal of authors, this includes confirmation from the author being added or removed. The Editor retains the right to determine whether the addition or deletion of authors should be performed or not. The addition of deletion of author names in proofs is strictly prohibited.

Please be noted that only one author is allowed to be a Corresponding Author of an article which is indicated by an asterisk (*) symbol. The Corresponding Author may different from the Submitting Author. The Submitting Author may submit the manuscript on behalf of the Corresponding Author. However, other Authors may include their email addresses in addition to an email of corresponding authors.

The Corresponding Author is the one individual who takes primary responsibility for communication with the journal during the manuscript submission, peer review, and publication process. Generally, Corresponding Authors are senior researchers or group leaders with some – or a lot of experience – in the submission and publishing process of scientific research. They are someone who has not only contributed to the paper significantly but also has the ability to ensure that it goes through the publication process smoothly and successfully.

 

10.12. Author Contributions or CRediT Author Statement is required in this journal

CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) was introduced with the intention of recognizing individual author contributions, reducing authorship disputes and facilitating collaboration.

For transparency, we encourage authors to submit an author statement in the manuscript outlining their individual contributions to the paper using the relevant CRediT roles: Conceptualization; Data curation; Formal analysis; Funding acquisition; Investigation; Methodology; Project administration; Resources; Software; Supervision; Validation; Visualization; Roles/Writing - original draft; Writing - review & editing.

Authorship statements should be formatted with the names of authors first and CRediT role(s) as the following example. CRediT offers authors the opportunity to share an accurate and detailed description of their diverse contributions to the published work.

  • The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that the descriptions are accurate and agreed by all authors.
  • The role(s) of all authors should be listed, using the relevant above categories.
  • Authors may have contributed in multiple roles.
  • CRediT in no way changes the journal’s criteria to qualify for authorship.

CRediT statements should be provided during the submission process and will appear above the acknowledgement section of the published paper as shown further below:

  • Conceptualization: Ideas; formulation or evolution of overarching research goals and aims.
  • Methodology: Development or design of methodology; creation of models
  • Software: Programming, software development; designing computer programs; implementation of the computer code and supporting algorithms; testing of existing code components.
  • Validation: Verification, whether as a part of the activity or separate, of the overall replication/ reproducibility of results/experiments and other research outputs.
  • Formal analysis: Application of statistical, mathematical, computational, or other formal techniques to analyze or synthesize study data.
  • Investigation: Conducting a research and investigation process, specifically performing the experiments, or data/evidence collection.
  • Resources: Provision of study materials, reagents, materials, patients, laboratory samples, animals, instrumentation, computing resources, or other analysis tools.
  • Data Curation: Management activities to annotate (produce metadata), scrub data and maintain research data (including software code, where it is necessary for interpreting the data itself) for initial use and later reuse
  • Writing - Original Draft: Preparation, creation and/or presentation of the published work, specifically writing the initial draft (including substantive translation)
  • Writing - Review & Editing: Preparation, creation and/or presentation of the published work by those from the original research group, specifically critical review, commentary or revision – including pre-or postpublication stages
  • Visualization: Preparation, creation and/or presentation of the published work, specifically visualization/ data presentation
  • Supervision: Oversight and leadership responsibility for the research activity planning and execution, including mentorship external to the core team
  • Project administration:Management and coordination responsibility for the research activity planning and execution
  • Funding acquisition: Acquisition of the financial support for the project leading to this publication

10.13. Abstract and Keywords

An abstract should stand alone, which means that no citation and figures and equation format in the abstract. Consider it the advertisement for your article. The abstract should tell the prospective reader what you did and highlight the key findings. Avoid using technical jargon and uncommon abbreviations. You must be accurate, brief, clear and specific. Use words that reflect the precise meaning. The abstract should be precise and honest. Please follow the word limitations (100‐250 words).

The abstract must contain: short backgrounds why does this research important (if any, maximum 2-3 sentences), short clear objectives, short methods, final results or findings (not discussion), and conclusion.

Keywords are the labels of your manuscript and critical to correct indexing and searching. Therefore the keywords should represent the content and highlight of your article. Use only those abbreviations that are firmly established in the field. e.g. DNA. Each word/phrase in keyword should be separated by a semicolon (;), not a comma (,).

 

10.14. Introduction

In the Introduction, Authors should state the objectives of the work at the end of the introduction section. Before the objective, Authors should provide an adequate background (maximum 1 paragraph), and very short literatures survey/review in order to record the existing solutions/method, to show which is the best of previous researches, to show the main limitation of the previous researches, to show what do you hope to achieve (to solve the limitation), and to show the scientific merit or novelties of the paper. Avoid a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results. Do not describe pieces of literature survey/review as author by author, but should be presented as group per method or topic reviewed which refers to some literatures. Before the objectives and after the literatures review, author must state the gap analysis or novelties statements to show why does this paper is important and what is unique idea of this paper compared to other previous researchers' suggestions.

One of the examples of novelty statement or the gap analysis statement in the end of Introduction section (after state of the art of previous research survey):

........ (short summary of background)....... .....(put here state of the art or overview of previous researches similar to this research).............. A few researchers focused on ....... There have been limited studies concerned on ........ Therefore, this research intends to ................. The objectives of this research are .........”.

or 

........ (short summary of background)....... .....(put here state of the art or overview of previous researches similar to this research).............. A few researchers focused on ....... There is no researcher concerned on ........ Therefore, this research focuses on ................. Therefore, this research is aimed to .........”.

etc.

 

10.15 Materials and Methods

Materials and methods should make readers be able to reproduce the experiment. Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described. Do not repeat the details of established methods. For the chemicals, please provide details of brand and purity (example: CaO (Merck, 99.5%)) first, and state the concentration of chemicals in the procedure of the experiment. For the equipment instruments, please provide details of brand and type (example: "Gas Chromatography Mass Spectometry (Shimadzu QP2010 SE, Propapak Q column)" , "X-ray Diffraction (Shimadzu MAXima_X XRD-7000)", etc.

 

10.16. Results and Discussion

The results should be clear and concise. The results should summarize (scientific) findings rather than providing data in great detail. Please highlight the differences between your results or findings and the previous publications by other researchers. The discussion should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.

In the discussion, it is the most important section of your article. Here you get the chance to sell your data. Make the discussion corresponding to the results, but do not reiterate the results. Often should begin with a brief summary of the main scientific findings (not experimental results).

The following important items should be covered in discussion:

  • How do your results relate to the original question or objectives outlined in the Introduction section? What is your finding of research? (what/how)? 
  • Do you provide interpretation scientifically for each of your results or findings presented? This scientific interpretation must be supported by valid analysis and characterization (why)? 
  • Are your results consistent with what other investigators have reported (what else)? Or are there any differences? Comparison your results with other researcher results is mandatory required.

 

10.17. Conclusions

Conclusions should only answer the objectives of the research. Tells how your work advances the field from the present state of knowledge. Without clear Conclusions, reviewers and readers will find it difficult to judge the work, and whether or not it merits publication in the journal. Do not repeat the Abstract, or just list experimental results. Provide a clear scientific justification for your work, and indicate possible applications and extensions. This conclusion should be provided as a paragraph. You should also suggest future experiments and/or point out those that are underway.

 

10.18. Acknowledgment

Recognize those who helped in the research, especially funding source supporter (Funder of Research) of your research financially. If required, include individuals who have assisted you in your study: Advisors, Financial supporters, or may another supporter, i.e. Proofreaders, Typists, and Suppliers, who may have given materials. Do not acknowledge one of the authors' names.

 

10.19. Citation and References

Cite the main scientific publications on which your work is based. Cite only items that you have read. Do not inflate the manuscript with too many references. Avoid excessive self‐citations. Avoid excessive citations of publications from the same region. Check each reference against the original source (authors name, volume, issue, year, Digital Object Identification (DOI) Number). DOI Number information must be provided (if available). It is suggested to use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. Use other published articles in the same journal as models. 

NOTE: The minimum number of references should be 20 references, to make sure the adequacy of literatures cited.

All publications cited in the text should be included as a list of references. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended in the reference list, but maybe mentioned in the text. If these references are included in the reference list they should follow the standard reference style of the journal and should include a substitution of the publication date with either “Unpublished results” or “Personal communication”. Citation of a reference as 'in press' implies that the item has been accepted for publication.

As a minimum, the full URL should be given and the date when the reference was last accessed. Any further information, if known (DOI, author names, dates, a reference to a source publication, etc.), should also be given. Web references can be listed separately (e.g., after the reference list) under a different heading if desired, or can be included in the reference list.

Recommendations for references are:

  • Please type all authors names. Using et al. for multiple authors is not acceptable.
  • When referencing in the body of text, use 12pt Times Roman.

When preparing your reference list, the following should be avoided:

  • References not cited in the text.
  • Excessively referencing your work.
  • Insufficiently referencing the work of others.

Examples of guideline for preparing references list is described in the last section of this author guidelines.

Citation within body text of article to reference(s) must follow name year system ("......... (Paramita et al., 2022), ...... (Paramita et al., 2022; Bitwell et al., 2023), ... Bitwell et al. (2023) ………, etc."). The references list must be typed according to American Psychological Association (APA) Version 6.0. Authors should provide DOI number of each reference especially for journal articles.

10.20. Supporting Information (SI)

This Supporting information (SI) is provided to the reviewers during the peer-review process (for Review Only) and is available to readers of the published work (for Publication). Supporting Information file must be submitted, as separate file(s), at the same time as the manuscript, in Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files (by Choosing Supporting Information Type). If the manuscript is accompanied by any supporting information files for publication, these files will be made available free of charge to readers.

It is recommended to Author(S) to provide detail experimentals, calculations, and methods as well as all other additional experimental results and characterizations in the Supporting Information.

A brief, nonsentence description of the actual contents of each file, including the file type extension, is required. This description should be labeled Supporting Information and should appear after the Acknowledgement and Reference sections.

Examples of sufficient and insufficient descriptions are as follows:

  • Examples of sufficient descriptions: “Supporting Information: 1H NMR spectra for all compounds (PDF)” or “Additional experimental details, materials, and methods, including photographs of experimental setup (DOC)”.
  • Examples of insufficient descriptions: “Supporting Information: Figures S1-S3” or “Additional figures as mentioned in the text”.

License to Publish Agreement (Non-Exclusive License for Publishing Rights)

To enable publication and global dissemination of accepted manuscripts, the Journal of Vocational Studies on Applied Research (JVSAR), published by Vocational College of Universitas Diponegoro, requires that authors grant the publisher a non-exclusive license to publish the work. This license authorizes the publisher to reproduce, distribute, and communicate the article to the public in all forms and media. The license to publish does not transfer copyright; authors remain the sole copyright holders.

This arrangement is formalized through a License to Publish Agreement, which the corresponding author must complete after the manuscript is accepted for publication. The agreement confirms that the author or authors grant the publisher the non-exclusive right to publish the article and to distribute it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
