Abstract

Ditetapkannya Kecamatan Barru sebagai pusat kota Kabupaten Barru, berdampak semakin meningkatnya aktivitas pembangunan di beberapa wilayah terkhusus di sepanjang pesisir pantai Kecamatan Barru semakin hari semakin nyata terjadi. Disisi lain, pemanfaatan lahan semakin kurang tepat penggunannya seiring dengan potensi yang juga semakin berkembang. Sehingga kemampuan wilayah pesisir semakin menurun dalam menampung aktivitas maupun kegiatan di dalamnya serta potensi ekosistem pesisir yang ada menjadi rusak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi eksisting penggunaan lahan dan kesesuaiannya terjadap RTRW di kawasan pesisir Kecamatan Barru. Penggunaan metode penelitian yakni deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis spasial terhadap Citra SPOT-6 yang menginterpretasikan overlay pengguaan lahan dengan peta RTRW Tahun 2011-2031 Kabupaten Barru. Penelitian ini memberikan hasil bahwa adanya ketidaksesuaian pemanfaatan ruang di Kawasan pesisir seluas 1194,96 Ha atau 26,48% sedangkan 3318,01 Ha atau 73,52% pemanfaatan ruang yang sesuai dengan RTRW.
