Kajian Sistematik: Potensi Bunga Telang (Clitoria ternatea) sebagai Antidiabetes

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus merupakan gangguan metabolisme yang ditandai dengan hilangnya kemampuan homeostasis glukosa karena gangguan sekresi dan kerja insulin. Berbagai database telah melaporkan bahwa bunga telang (Clitoria ternatea) memiliki aktivitas anti-hiperglikemik yang adekuat. Kajian sistematik ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi bunga telang sebagai antidiabetes. Pencarian literatur dilakukan pada 29 Maret 2021 dengan menggunakan database elektronik Pubmed dan Scopus. Literatur yang didapatkan tersebut diseleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi untuk dilakukan ekstraksi data. Ada lima literatur yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis secara in vitro, ekstrak air, ekstrak etanol, dan protein ekstrak bunga telang (C. ternatea) terbukti secara efektif menghambat enzim α-amilase, pembentukan AGEs, glikosilasi hemoglobin, dan meningkatkan glukosa uptake. Sementara itu, berdasarkan uji secara in vivo, bunga telang (C. ternatea) terbukti dapat menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dan meningkatkan ekspresi gen PPARɣ, Glut2, Tcf7l2, dan Capn10 serta menurunkan ekspresi gen MCP1. Bunga telang (C. ternatea) memiliki aktivitas sebagai antidiabetes baik secara in vitro maupun in vivo.
