Author Guidelines

MANUSCRIPT STYLE

Adjust and upload your article to Generics in Word Office format (.doc/.docx). Articles submitted in PDF and other format will be rejected immediately. Article can be written in English and/or Bahasa Indonesia. 

 

The manuscripts should be divided into the following sections:

  • Title. Title should include contributors’ names, complete affiliations, and valid email address.
  • Abstract. Abstract structure consists of background of the study, objectives, methodology, results and conclusion, accompanied with 4 - 6 keywords. Length of the abstract should not exceed 200 words. Foreign author does not need to write Indonesian abstract, Indonesian author must write both English and Indonesian abstracts.
  • Main Text. Organize the main text as follow : Introduction (background and aims of the study), Methodology (materials and methods), Results and Discussion and the last one is Conclusion.
  • Acknowledgements. Acknowledge only those people and institutions that have made significant contributions to the study. Details of funding sources must be given.
  • Reference. References in the text should be denoted by giving the name(s) of the author(s) and year. References is written in Harvard style. All alphabetically ordered references list should be included at the end of the manuscript.  All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information in the reference. Reference manager tools such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero are suggested to be used for referencing.

  • Figures (photographs, drawings, diagrams, charts)

All illustrations should be clear, easily legible, and cited consecutively using Arabic numbers in the text (example: Fig. 1, Fig, 2, etc.). Please supply figures not on separate pages from the text. All illustrations should be in the form of high resolution images.

 

  • Tables

Table must be concise and cited consecutively using Arabic numbers in the text (example: Table 1, Table 2, etc.). Title of the table must be clearly indicating the nature of the content and sufficient detail should be included in the footnote. Table must not be separated from the main text.

 

 

COVER LETTER FOR EDITOR

Please submit a cover letter with information on ethical statements (competing interests, informed consent, human & animal rights), conflict of interest, statement of original data and the manuscript not being considered for publication elsewhere, and manuscript must not be a plagiarism.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
