Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

  1. Manuscript written in Bahasa Indonesia or English;
  2. The manuscript is typed using Microsoft Word program on A4 paper, the maximum word is 7000 words in Palatino, size 11pt and 1 space;
  3. The manuscript format, please refer to the following instructions (Template).

Tittle

The tittle should not exceed 12 words, typed in bold, capitalize each word, and it should be clear, concise, and informative.

Name of author

The name is written without any academic degree, followed by the name of author’s institution and email. In case manuscript written by team,   the editor is only in contact with the main author or the first mentioned author. The main author include his/her correspondence address or email.

Abstract with keywords

The length of abstract is around 200-250 words, while the limit of keyword is 3-5 words. The abstract must contain the aim, methods, and result on the article.

Introduction

In the introduction, it is explained: (a) the background of the problem that discusses the research topic; (b) the state of the art (a brief literature review) of previous similar studies to justify the novelty of this article (there must be references to journals from the last ten years); (c) formulation of the problem and/or hypothesis. (10pt, one space, 1 paragraph).

Methods

The research procedures are clearly documented. The experiment or research can be replicated to yield consistent results. These procedures include the research design, population and sample selection, data collection methods, instrument development and data analysis techniques. The findings are presented in a narrative format, with integrated paragraphs using 10pt font, single spacing, and one paragraph.

Results and Discussion

Results and Discussion contains descriptions including (a) the data presented has been processed and poured into tables or figures (choose one), provide easy-to-understand information; (b) in the discussion section, the relationship between the results obtained and the basic concept and/or hypothesis is explained; (c) whether there is any conformity or contradiction with the results of other people's research; (d) it is also recommended to write about the implications of the research results, both theoretical and applied. (TABLES AND FIGURES are in the RESULTS AND DISCUSSION section; only tables and figures that require extensive space are in 1 column).

Conclusion

The conclusion contains a brief and precise description of: (a) sufficiently answers the problem or research objective (do not discuss it again). (b) is the author's conclusion logically and honestly based on the facts obtained. (c) implications or suggestions may be added (not mandatory). Writing it in paragraph form, not an item list/numbering form, is better. If there must be an item list/numbering, keep it in paragraph form. (10pt, one space, 1 paragraph).

References

All the references that used in the article must be listed in this part. In this part, all the used references must be taken from primary sources (scientific journals and the least number is 80% from all the references) that were published in the last 10 years. Each article should have at least 20 references.

  1. The manuscript is to be submitted directly to https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/dialogue/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions  by creating a user account as an author.
  2. All references mentioned should be written down in reference using American Psychological Association (APA) style and arranged from A to Z.
  3. Please check each referred article for accuracy and make sure every quoted work in the article is written in References. Works that are not cited but mentioned in References will be omitted by the editor.
  4. All manuscripts are anonymously studied by reviewers appointed by the editor according to their expertise. The author is given a chance to revise the manuscript based on the reviewer’s or the editor’s recommendation/advice. The decision of publication or rejection will be informed through an open journal system or the author’s email address.
  5. The editor has the right to modify and correct the spelling, writing, and grammar of the published manuscript.
  6. Everything related to citing permission or computer software usage in writing the manuscript or any other things related to copyright done by the author, along with all its legal consequences, becomes the author’s full responsibility.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
