Are you researching the media and society from a communication perspective, specifically within the contexts of countries and regions in the Global South? We invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit their original work that delves into the transformative role of media across social, political, cultural, and economic landscapes.

We welcome original manuscripts that provide critical insights, empirical research, theoretical advancements, and interdisciplinary perspectives on media and societal issues in the Global South. Key topic examples that fit our focus and scope include, but are not limited to:

  • Misinformation and fake news: Challenges and solutions in developing countries
  • The role of digital platforms in democratizing information in the Global South
