Author Guidelines

Focus and scope
Jurnal Proyek Teknik Sipil (POTENSI) receives the manuscript covering the original research (preferable), literature review, or case study including:

  • Construction and building material
  • Construction management
  • Geotechnical engineering
  • Highway and transportation engineering
  • Hydraulic and water resource engineering
  • Structural engineering

Manuscript Preparation
The submitted manuscript is an original manuscript that has not been published in any journal and is not in the process of being submitted to another journal. Manuscripts result from original research and do not violate copyright or other rights. All data and information presented in the manuscript have been verified and analyzed. Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English according to the correct writing rules. Manuscripts are written in Microsoft Word format.

Manuscript Format
Manuscripts in general should be organized in the following order: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements (optional) and References. Download the POTENSI layout template here

TITLE
The title should be clearly written and represent the research. The title of the manuscript is written in capital letters at the beginning (Sentence case) font 14 cambria bold and align left.

AUTHOR'S NAME
The author's name writing is not followed by an academic degree but by the institution's origin and one or more emails.

ABSTRACT
The Abstract should stand alone, meaning there is no citation in the Abstract. Consider it the advertisement of your article. The Abstract should tell the prospective reader what you did and highlight the key findings. Avoid using technical jargon and uncommon abbreviations. You must be accurate, brief, clear, and specific. Use words that reflect the precise meaning; theAbstract should be exact and honest. Please follow word limitations (100‐250 words). Keywords are the labels of your manuscript and are critical to correct indexing and searching. Therefore, the keywords should represent the content and highlight of your article by several 3-5 keywords. Use only those abbreviations that are firmly established in the field. e.g. GIS (cambria 10 pt, italic).

INTRODUCTION
In the Introduction, the Author must state the purpose of the work at the end of the introductory section. Before the objective, the Author should provide an adequate background and a brief literature study to explain the solutions and methods available, show the differences from the previous research, show the main limitations of prior research, show what is done (the expectations to be achieved to solve the limitations), and demonstrate scientific achievements or novelties from your study. (Cambria, 11 pt).

METHODS
Data and methods must enable the reader to reproduce the analysis. Provide detailed concepts and techniques to allow the work to be copied. Published methods should be referenced; any relevant modifications must be explained. For images, the sequential numbers should start from 1, with the figure title and number below the picture. (Cambria 11pt)

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
The results should be clear and concise. The results should summarize the (scientific) findings from the detailed data analysis. Please highlight the differences between the results or conclusions and previous publications by other researchers. For tables, they are in order of numbers with the table title and the number above the table. The table should be centered in the center of the Page.

CONCLUSION
The conclusion must answer the purpose of the research. Please tell us your work and findings in the field from the latest knowledge. Without a clear conclusion, readers will find it difficult to judge and adapt the work so that they will feel less benefiting from this publication.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (*if any)
Thanks are expressed to those who helped in the research, especially to the funding sponsors who supported this research (individuals/companies/institutions). This thanks is not like in the Final Project Foreword. Only those involved in this article feel grateful.

REFERENCES
Cite a major scientific publication based on your work with the APA 6th Style. Cite items you've read. Don't expand the manuscript with too many references. Avoid excessive citations against the article itself. Avoid excessive citations from publications in the same area. Check each reference to the source (author's name, volume, issue, year). Please use the Reference Manager Applications such as EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. All publications cited in the text should be included as reference lists. Sequential number reference as it appears in the text. Ensure that any references cited in the text are also in the reference list (and vice versa). Use references from journals for at least 80% of the total references.
