Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine how the Central Java Regional Police have implemented Regulation of the Chief of the Indonesian National Police Number 1 of 2020 concerning Gender Mainstreaming within the Indonesian National Police.

Methodology/Approach/Design: This research employs a socio-legal approach with a descriptive-analytical research specification. Data were collected through interviews with policewomen in the Central Java Regional Police and police officials responsible for gender mainstreaming.

Results and Discussion: The findings indicate that the Central Java Regional Police have not implemented gender mainstreaming in a structural manner; rather, implementation has been carried out through the formulation of incidental policies.

Practical Implications: This study is expected to contribute practically to efforts to advance gender mainstreaming within the Central Java Regional Police, ensuring that actions and policies undertaken are able to accommodate gender-based justice.
