Focus and Scope

NICHE J TropBio is an open access journal that publishes original research across all areas of life sciences such as biodiversity, biosystematics, biotechnology, ecology, physiology, behavior, and genetics. NICHE covers all life forms, ranging from microbes, fungi, virus, plants, animals, and human. The objective of the journal is to disseminate all information across fields of biology as well as to contribute to the understanding and development of life science in the tropics. The topics of research are not only on Indonesian tropical biology but also on other tropical regions of the world.

Peer Review Process / Policy

All articles submitted to NICHE should follow the scope of journal and journal guideline for author. The submitted articles will be initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles. The Editor's decision is final.

Articles submitted to NICHE should be free form Plagiarism or Autoplagiarsm and declared in a Letter signed by all Authors or representatives (Primary Author). The similarity of the articles is checked by a Turnitin plagiarism detection software.  

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
