Abstract

ABSTRACT

Developing health cadres' skills in processing healthy food is a very important step in improving the health and nutrition of village communities. Skilled cadres will be able to teach village mothers about variations in food processing using local ingredients that are ordinary but nutritious and liked by children. In this way, the younger generation will grow up with healthier and better diets, resulting in stronger and more competitive village communities. Partners in this community service are health cadres in Kalongan Village, East Semarang District. Location This village is located in the eastern rural area of Semarang Regency. The nutritional conditions in this village are not yet known so nutritional problems cannot be mapped. Many rural areas still experience malnutrition problems, especially among children. With knowledge about healthy food processing, health cadres can help mothers process food in the right way so that the nutritional content in the food is maintained. This contributes to reducing the problem of malnutrition and improving the nutritional status of society.
