Salah satu teknologi yang potensial untuk mengonversi sekam padi menjadi energi adalah kompor gasifikasi biomassa. Teknologi ini mampu menghasilkan panas yang lebih bersih dan efisien dibandingkan dengan pembakaran langsung. Namun, penggunaan sekam padi dalam kompor gasifikasi sering mengalami kendala dalam hal efisiensi pembakaran dan emisi gas buang yang belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh bentuk lubang udara sekunder serta modifikasi sistem distribusi aliran udara pada kompor gasifikasi biomassa terhadap performa pembakaran sekam padi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan tahapan utama meliputi perancangan, fabrikasi, dan pengujian kompor gasifikasi yang dimodifikasi pada bagian lubang udara sekunder dan sistem distribusi aliran udara.
