Abstract
Produksi minyak dari sebuah reservoir secara alami pasti akan mengalami penurunan atau bahkan tidak dapat menghasilkan sama sekali. Kondisi tersebut tidak serta merta menggambarkan bahwa cadangan minyak dalam reservoir sudah habis. Jika hanya mengandalkan metode produksi primer (primery recovery) kemungkinan besar masih sangat banyak minyak yang tersisa di reservoir, untuk itu diperlukan metode produksi lanjutan untuk bisa menguras minyak yang masih banyak tersisa di reservoir. Metode Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) akan memberikan solusi pengurasan terhadap minyak yang masih ada didalam reservoir yang tidak dapat diambil dengan produksi primer. Namun untuk menerapkan metode EOR diperlukan pemilihan yang tepat sehingga didapatkan hasil yang optimum sesuai dengan biaya yang dikeluarkan
