Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance and work environment on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable among employees at PT POS Indonesia Persero Cilacap Branch. The research method employed is quantitative with a survey approach. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 76 employees of PT POS Indonesia Persero Cilacap Branch. The data analysis technique used is path analysis to examine the direct and indirect relationships between independent and dependent variables through the mediating variable. The results indicate that work-life balance has a negative and significant impact on employee performance. Conversely, the work environment has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Additionally, both work-life balance and work environment have positive and significant effects on job satisfaction. Moreover, job satisfaction positively and significantly affects employee performance. Path analysis results indicate that job satisfaction mediates the influence of work-life balance and work environment on employee performance. Thus, improving work-life balance and enhancing the work environment can significantly improve employee performance through increased job satisfaction. This research provides practical implications for the management of PT POS Indonesia Persero Cilacap Branch to enhance programs supporting work-life balance and improve the work environment to increase job satisfaction and employee performance. These findings can also serve as a basis for future research exploring other factors influencing employee performance in the context of service companies. By understanding the importance of work-life balance and the work environment, companies can develop effective strategies to improve job satisfaction and overall employee performance.
