Southsight: Journal of Media and Society Inquiry is a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on media studies and society from a communication perspective, specifically within the contexts of countries and regions in the Global South. This journal serves as a critical platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to discuss the dynamics of communication and media that influence society in unique and original social, political, and cultural contexts. Southsight: Journal of Media and Society Inquiry encourages contributions from a range of communication disciplines to promote an inclusive and representative global dialogue on the challenges and potentials faced by people in the Global South.

Southsight: Journal of Media and Society Inquiry is published by the Undergraduate Program of Communication Science, Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro. The editorial board is based in Semarang, Indonesia. We welcome all experts, practitioners, and academicians who are interested in Southsight to submit their manuscripts. The appropriate scientific reviewer in the field will review the submitted manuscript.
