The lack of clean and healthy living behaviors, as well as suboptimal sanitation management, pose challenges to maintaining a healthy environment in the boarding house. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of boarding house residents regarding personal hygiene and environmental sanitation. The implementation method was carried out door-to-door among boarding house residents and the surrounding community, using educational posters and pamphlets. The material presented included prohibitions and sanctions for littering, promoting clean and healthy living behaviors, selecting and processing safe and nutritious food, and managing a healthy boarding house environment. The results of the activity showed that most boarding house residents already had good personal hygiene habits (showering twice a day, 94.9%; washing hands before eating, 93.9%), as well as reasonably good sanitation conditions (availability of clean water, 98%; adequate ventilation 93%). However, weaknesses were still identified in the management of shared facilities, including low waste sorting (44%) and unprocessed waste disposal (30%). Door-to-door education activities proved effective in increasing the awareness of boarding house residents about the importance of environmental hygiene. It is recommended that there be continuous education, the establishment of a shared cleaning schedule, and support from boarding house managers to create a healthier and disease-free environment. }, pages = {7--15} url = {https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/proactive/article/view/30395} }
