Kebijakan tersebut membatasi impor sampah global, yang berdampak signifikan pada Kanada sebagai eksportir sampah utama akibat keterbatasan infrastruktur daur ulang dan meningkatnya jumlah sampah setiap tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik studi kepustakaan dan analisis data kualitatif, dengan pendekatan teori Environmental Policy oleh William J. Baumol dan Wallace E. Oates. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah Kanada telah menerapkan berbagai kebijakan, termasuk regulasi pengelolaan sampah, pencegahan pencemaran, dan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Namun, upaya ini belum memberikan hasil yang optimal, karena jumlah total sampah yang dihasilkan secara nasional belum menunjukkan penurunan signifikan. Kendala utama dalam implementasi kebijakan ini adalah kurangnya infrastruktur daur ulang yang memadai serta tantangan dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi yang lebih efektif dalam mengembangkan sistem pengelolaan sampah yang berkelanjutan, mengurangi ketergantungan pada ekspor limbah, serta meningkatkan kapasitas daur ulang domestik untuk mengatasi permasalahan sampah di Kanada.}, issn = {2722-6719}, pages = {108--123} doi = {10.14710/jebt.2025.25925}, url = {https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/jebt/article/view/25925} }
