Formasi batuan merupakan salah satu komponen yang menggambarkan kondisi geologi di suatu daerah. Metode pemetaan yang berkembang saat ini dapat digunakan untuk mendapatkan jenis formasi batuan yang lebih detail dengan skala 1:50.000 jika dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengindraan jauh untuk memetakan formasi batuan di Kota Batu dengan proses image fusion citra Landsat 8 dan citra TerraSAR-X Ortho Rectified Radar Image dan Digital Surface Model. Hasil image fusion dari dua citra tersebut selanjutnya dilakukan interpretasi citra dengan menggunakan kunci interpretasi, kenampakan unsur morfologi, pola aliran sungai dan peta geologi skala 1:100.000 (Wilayah Kota Batu) guna memetakan jenis formasi batuan dengan skala 1:50.000 di Kota Batu. Terdapat 15 jenis formasi batuan di area studi dari hasil interpretasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu : Batuan Gunungapi G.Kimberi 1 (Qvk1), Batuan Gunungapi G.Kimberi 2 (Kvk2), Lava Gunungapi G.Welirang (Qvlw), Batuan Gunungapi (Qv), Batuan Gunungapi G.Arjuno (Qva), Batuan Gunungapi Lahar G.Arjuno (Qval), Lava Gunungapi Tua G. Arjuno (Qvola), Kipas Vulkanik Tua G.Arjuno (Qvfoa), Batuan Gunungapi Kompleks G.Ukir (Qv), Batuan Gunungapi Tua G.Preteng (Qvop), Batuan Gunungapi Tua G.Kukusan (Qvok), Batuan Gunungapi G.Kutugan (Qvk), Batuan Produk Vulkanik G.Butak (Qvbt), Batuan Gunungapi G.Panderman (Qvp), dan Batuan Gunungapi G.Seruk (Qvs).}, issn = {2621-9883}, doi = {10.14710/elipsoida.2018.2809}, url = {https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/elipsoida/article/view/2809} }
