The research employs a quantitative method, investigating the translation of 45 English phrasal verbs found in the film's subtitles. Data were collected by watching the movie and downloading English and Indonesian subtitles, followed by classification based on relevant translation strategies. The study found that the phrasal verbs in Moana primarily belonged to the inseparable category. Translation strategies identified included condensation, reformulation, and omissions, with condensation being the most common, accounting for 58% of occurrences. The study highlights the complexities of translating phrasal verbs, emphasizing the need to navigate language and cultural differences to enhance audience comprehension while maintaining the original content's emotional impact. This research contributes to the field of translation studies by focusing on a less-explored area of subtitle translation. }, issn = {2614-039X}, pages = {113--124} doi = {10.14710/ca.v10i2.33823}, url = {https://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/culturalistics/article/view/33823} }
