Author Guidelines

1. General Author Guidelines 

All manuscripts must be submitted to Anuva Editorial Office using Online Submission at E-Journal portal address: http://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/anuva/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions, where author register as Author by online. If authors have any problems on the online submission, please contact Editorial Office at the following email: anuva@live.undip.ac.id. Three types of manuscripts are acceptable for publication: Original Research Articles, Short Communication, and Review Articles (not preferable, based on invitation).

3. Reviewing of manuscripts

Every submitted paper is independently reviewed by at least one reviewers. The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendation and made by Editor. If two or more reviewers consider a manuscript unsuitable for publication in this journal, a statement explaining the basis for the decision will be sent to the authors within three months of the submission date.

 4. Revision of manuscripts

Manuscripts sent back to the authors for revision should be returned to the editor without delay. Revised manuscripts can be sent to editorial office through the Online Submission Interface. The revised manuscripts returned later than three months will be considered as new submissions.

5. Guideline for Online Submission

Author should first register as Author and is offered as Reviewer through the following address: http://ejournal2.undip.ac.id/index.php/anuva/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions

The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of the journal, i.e. Original Research Articles, Review Article, or Short Communication. Thus, the author must check-mark on the submission checklists. An author should type or copy-paste Covering Letter in Letter to Editor.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded. Do not upload cover letter and other supplementary files here.
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement Form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to Anuva journal, click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site. 

After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes a status of manuscript review and editorial process.

6. Article Processing Charge
Anuva Jurnal Kajian Budaya, Perpustakaan, dan Informasi is published in full open access under a Creative Commons (CC BY-SA) license. This allows the scientific community and the general public to gain unlimited, free and immediate access to scholarly articles. All articles published in Anuva are free for anyone to read and download, all over the world. In order to sustain this model, we charge authors an article processing charge (APC) which covers the cost of editorial assistance, article production and indexing.

7. User Rights

All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options, currently being defined for this journal as follows:

8. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

When submitting article, a writer should pay attention to the following:

1)  The article should be within the scope of scientific journalism.

2)  The article is sent in Ms.Word format with the following conditions:

  • A4 paper (21 cm x 21,7cm) with the page margin; Left (2,5 cm), top (3 cm), Right (2 cm), and bottom (2 cm).
  • The number of manuscript pages is between 5000 - 7000 words.
  • The script is written one column with Times New Roman font, except for the title of the article (Arial).

3) Articles are written with the following regulations.

  • TITLE (Arial 14; all capital letters and bold; 1 space).
  • Author Name (Times New Roman 12 and bold; 1 space).
  • Author Affiliation (Times New Roman 10.5; 1 space), contains the name of the institution / organization / workplace / author’s place of study .
  • Correspondence (Times New Roman 10.5; 1 space), contains first author’s email address.
  • ABSTRACT and ABSTRACT (Times New Roman 12; all capital letters and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 10; 1 space). Article abstract is written in two languages (English and Indonesian). For articles in Indonesian language, English language abstracts is placed on top of the Indonesian and vice versa.
  • Keywords (Times New Roman 11 and bold) and their contents (Times New Roman 10), keywords are written in English; with a number of 3-7 keywords.
  • INTRODUCTION (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1.5 spaces). In Introduction, Authors should state the objectives of the work at the end of introduction section. Before the objective, Authors should provide an adequate background, and very short literature survey in order to record the existing solutions/method, to show which is the best of previous researches, to show the main limitation of the previous researches, to show what do you hope to achieve (to solve the limitation), and to show the scientific merit or novelties of the paper. Avoid a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results. Do not describe literature survey as author by author, but should be presented as group per method or topic reviewed which refers to some literatures.
  • METHOD (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1.5 spaces).
  • RESULTS AND DISCUSSION (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1.5 spaces). Description and discussion of results should be made separately.
  • CONCLUSION (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1.5 spaces).
  • ADVICE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT - optional (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 11; 1.5 spaces
  • REFERENCES (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and reading sources (Times New Roman 11; 1.5 spaces). Source of citations or bibliography must be the same. The writing format of a bibliography refers to Harvard Style. Citation and bibliography writing are advised to use the reference manager application, such as MendeleyZotero, or Endnote.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
