Abstract

Minyak goreng paska pakai (jelantah) berdampak buruk bagi lingkungan apabila dibuang di lahan terbuka, baik ditanak maupun aliran air. Sementara itu, minyak jelantah bisa menjadi produk yang bernilai dengan proses tertentu. Ada yang sudah memanfaatkan menjadi biodiesel, sabun dan lainnya. Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan melakukan pemetaan perilaku kuliner kaki lima kota Semarang terhadap minyak goreng pasca pakai dan melakukan sosialisasi terhadap bahaya dan manfaat minyak goreng bekas. Harapannya, pengabdian ini akan meningkatkan kesadaran kuliner kaki lima terhadap bahaya minyak goreng bekas apabila dibuang ke tanah/saluran air. Kesadaran terhadaplingkungan yang tinggi akan mendorong kemauan untuk mengumpulkan minyak goreng bekas sehingga lebih mudah dikelola.
